Review on Grey Black Men's πŸ‘Ÿ Shoes by Brooks Mens Dyad by Brandon Hilton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Comfortable for big, wide, flat feet

What I like: Shoes are normal. I'm a size 11 1/2 XW, but I always buy shoes 1/2 sizes bigger. The 12 XW shoes (I have a very wide foot) are very comfortable for me, they are neither tight nor loose. I've used the DYAD 7 for about 230 miles and needed a new shoe. The old DYAD 7 was a stability shoe, while the new DYAD 10 was a neutral shoe. It took about 45 miles to break in these new shoes and get my feet used to the neutral (unstable) shoes. They feel great, but the DYAD 7 was much more comfortable and gave more control. I wanted to switch to neutral shoes. At first I thought it was a mistake because my feet, ankles, legs and lower back hurt in the new DYAD 10 neutral running shoes, I just had to break them in and strengthen my foot and leg muscles for an unstable shoe. I'll rate it a 7.5 out of 10. The stability of the old DYAD 7 was a solid 8/10. If you have big, wide, flat feet like me, use arch support (feet point outwards/wear outwards as you walk) and weigh about 210-215 lbs. I would recommend this. I run about 30 miles a month and sometimes more. What I don't like: Not as soft and stable as my old DYAD 7 Brooks shoes. These shoes won't win any fashion awards either, but they look a lot better than the dated looking DYAD 7. They're also a little heavy, but that's to be expected from a size 12 XW shoe. In addition, this shoe is slightly softer on the entire foot. I feel like the bottom is a bit bigger than my old DYAD 7 which probably had some sort of plastic bottom and also had various pieces of harder foam and plastic (for stability I think).
