Users who tried to install Windows 7 or 8/8.1 were left scratching their heads because all of the drivers on this laptop are optimized for Windows 10. The inability to get the touchpad to function properly was the initial cause of the troubles. After a few agonizing hours, I was able to find a solution to the problem.
