This remote control is both better and worse than the previous version. Normal controls are slightly faster and more stable. Sound management is much worse. Even if you can find a good middle ground to point the remote at, it's still 50/50. Personally, I have to point the remote at the ceiling for the tone controls to work. Now for my biggest concern and the main reason I would probably return this unit for a refund. The back panel covering the batteries is VERY easy to remove. Every time I pick up the remote, the back shifts. every time It's like there's no locking mechanism at all. Anyone who buys this and uses it daily will either lose the backing or end up having to tape it to the remote to keep it from getting lost. They removed many useless buttons from the old version, but for some reason I will never understand, they removed the back button. There is a button on almost every remote control made in the last 5 years. Do not buy this remote control. If you need an Xbox remote, look for an older PDP or another manufacturer.
