The product is good but the packaging is terrible

OK, but there are problems with the packaging. In general the product is of quite good quality. The colors are beautiful and appear to be durable enough to last for years. You can add more frames and they still hold up without looking weird (I bought four additional frames and they still look great). I love that you can remove the base and hang the tree on the wall. However, the packaging is a problem: the product packaging was in an Amazon box almost four times the size with lots of paper, which is strange but not true. definitely insecure. However, when I pulled the product box out of the Amazon box, I heard all the parts inside move. Since I bought this as a Christmas present for my grandma, I decided to open the box to make sure everything was intact. Nothing was broken, but none of the parts were securely fastened. It was obvious that some of the wood needed to be held in place with zip ties, but all the zip ties were severed and the wood slid all over the box. The frames, which appeared to have been taped to the cardboard backing at some point, were not secured well at all and all fell to the bottom of the box. Four frames were fine, but two were damaged. One of the frames I believe was damaged in the packaging (there is a fairly large dent in the plastic covering protecting the picture), the other I believe was defective and was shipped anyway (so the back of the frame was used to fix it). picture to be replaced is deformed and doesn't fit in the frame, doesn't stick out much). These minor imperfections are enough to really deduct a star from my rating as the replacement frames are quite cheap.
