It plugs in and doesn't leak. The only issue I had is that I have no idea what this filter filters as it doesn't have an NSF rating so it doesn't need to be NSF certified which probably allows them to keep costs down. worth a try and so far I can't see or smell any difference from the OEM so the filtering seems about the same. And we have a type of water where we can taste/smell chlorine without a filter and can't taste or smell it with this filter.
