I've searched everywhere for a mounting adapter for my Dell-- If you've been here, you've learned the hard way that Dell adapters are proprietary and there aren't any Possibility to use a universal mount for monitors with VESA mount. After being stunned by the slight differences in several different adapter models, I settled on this one. The Dell connector, which looks like a jigsaw piece, fits perfectly. Some reviews said it was a bit off, mine didn't. It slid in cleanly and snapped onto the back of my monitors and I was amazed at how easy it was. The problem started after I set everything up. I installed 2 24" Dell monitors on a dual arm swivel mount and my monitors just fell off. These mounts literally wouldn't hold my monitors. the back of the monitor to use 3m sticky pads as I've read other reviewers have used (obviously you can use a pad to spread the weight of the monitor with some adapters). it had to happen 1. the vesa adapter would just disconnect the connection port and I wouldn't be able to use stands or 2. my screen would crack from the force of placing it face down on my desk. This and bought a stand for two monitors. My two-handed mount sits useless in my closet, thanks Dell. than the proprietary Dell mount.
