Side panels. Why deduct a star for that? Read the next two paragraphs.2. The image shows the rubber bumpers for gates pressed on both sides and the text emphasizes that no tools are required. But the instructions (as they are) state that the gate MUST be used with wall sockets (meaning no gate can be installed without messing around with your walls) and by the way these are NOT included so while that is technically correct, but you don't need to buy any additional tools, the conclusion that you don't need to buy anything at all is obviously wrong.3. On the side where the hasp hinges, the hasp overhangs and cuts into the drywall. This isn't a problem for me as I'm only struggling with drywall and the other side is a solid wood ladder post and when the gate is rotated properly (with the latch on the other side of the child/pet) then it is not opposite drywall and so it's not a problem. But it was joking luck if the drywall and ladder post were reversed or if both sides were drywall the locking bar would bite right into the drywall. Why would they design the gate in such a way that it would almost certainly hit the drywall? Well, if the pressure points were hidden in the dowels (you know, dowels that aren't included and aren't mentioned anywhere on the product page) then that would increase the gap and wouldn't be a problem. Without anchors, the top and bottom of the wood will come dangerously close to the drywall; If your opening isn't perfectly square, one or the other will cut into the wall. The instructions warn that without the plugs a child could knock out the gate and I can see exactly how that could happen. I will keep it as it will work for me (only very rarely will our grandchildren come by and they will be supervised and if you bang on the gate the two wire fences will bang against each other which for some it may be a minus, for us a plus as it's sort of a built in alarm that someone is trying to breach the gate). But if you're planning on using this for long-term use, the product description and photos are utterly deceiving, and you'd be better off with a (much!) more powerful Tor whose advertising doesn't outright lie.
