It is made of heavy duty material. It is heavier than I expected. It took about 5 minutes to put it together.Works well on the hammock we bought from amazon.UPDATE: It is now 6 years old. I recently moved to a new house and took this frame with me. It came apart easily. I was able to snap it back together at the new house. The bottom of the frame has some rust on it, but a quick hit with some sandpaper and paint it'll be good as new. The durability and quality of has impressed me. I live in San Antonio, TX and this thing stays outside year round. I would by this again.
