Not for high speeds

These racks are easy to assemble and easy to attach to your board or kayak. However, I could not go over 45 miles per hour with my surfboard (8.5 feet long) without a board. and the racks are loose. The stand pads are not strong enough to hold the board upwind. The pads themselves flex outward against the pressure. This can lead to a very dangerous situation on the motorway at speeds over 70 km/h. I still plan on using the racks until I find a suitable replacement. I plan to stay on slow roads and not go faster than 40 km/h.
