If your wipers suddenly stop or won't reset, that's probably the problem. My 2001 BMW 740il did this for about 3 months then it all stopped altogether and this relay helped. Disconnect the battery in the trunk. On this vehicle, locate the fuse box under the hood bulkhead on the passenger side. Remove the cover, find the silver box that is the computer/controller, unplug the connectors, lift the controller and your relay will be just below the controller. Pull out the relay, insert a new one. Slide the control box back into place, plug in the plugs and replace the fuse box cover and you're done. 15 TO 20 minutes. This relay worked perfectly.
