Switches work perfect. It is difficult to tighten the threaded ring enough to hold switch in place without it jumping threads on the switch. The switch threads have a flat on two sides to allow keying the switch in a panel to prevent rotation. If you are like me.and probably ever other person using these.your panel holes will not be keyed since you just drilled them with a drill bit. I would give this switch 4 stars but the company prints their HOTSYSTEM logo on each and every switch. They are sturdy and serve their purpose but I feel like they should disclose this as the images do not depict this.That said, a little finger nail polish remover, a q-tip, and some work will remove the logo. At first , it will seem like nothing is happening in terms of removal-KEEP SCRUBBING- it does come off. :)

Horrible switch. When I first installed it I had the same problem others have mentioned. If trying to use the lighted part of the switch, it blows the fuse. So I decided to use it anyway as my motorcycle USB outlet switch, just wired so the light doesn't go on. lasted about 8 months and now the switch doesn't work and I have to replace it.

Excellent switches the logo rubs off eventually but who cares these are awesomely priced glad to see a company care about there customers by keeping the cost reasonable! The switches came branded with "hotsystem" written across the front of the switch. It seems they photo shopped this off of the product picture. They are heavy duty plastic, waterproof, thick contact plates, and cheap. It is like amazon is in my head. Drill one hole, and attatch. Really cool look and durrible. Out preformed my auto parts store bought heavy duty switch. Put breasts on them, and i would hit it.

Hot system has excellent customer service and took care of my concerns regarding the switch and it's functionality. Please understand the ground switch to get it to light up before installing it. The light on these is waaayy too bright. Had to cover it up with electrical tape. Other than that, it's fairly simple to install. I have a step drill bit which made drilling the whole fairly strightforward.

Bought these to go on the dash for my 1998 suburban. I have 2 LED Circular lights and 2 8in LED light bars on my front bumper and 2 LED pods on my back bumper! Perfect - using them to turn my fixed dash cam (on my motorcycle) on and off so I don't have to open up storage to get to the control module. This sits outside (again, on a motorcycle) and i havent had any issues with moisture - it has worked perfectly.Only reason it didnt get 5 stars is that it has "HOTSYSTEM" printed on it in gray. Picked these up to install on my kayak to control my 12V electronics. Out of the bag one was jammed up but no big deal since I only needed 4 anyway. I'm using this switch on a lawn tractor and so far it works fine. The led light in the rocker is so bright though that even during the day it's annoying. I will probably unplug the wire that grounds it so the light doesn't work at all.

Nice switch, but something to be aware of: When you connect the ground terminal to get the LED to illuminate when switch is ON, the LED looks fine. However, when you flip to the OFF position, it connects the Load terminal directly to ground. If your load has a large capacitor on the front end, it will short to ground via the switch OFF position (may not be what you want, could spark or blow a fuse). The switch is nice but the pictures are outdated. The last batch I ordered had "hotsystem" printed on the front of them and it really is an eyesore. I also had 2 customers report switches dead on arrival. LED wouldn't light up with proper wiring.I still use them, but wish they didn't start putting their brand on them.

The terminals are so close together that when you use a crimp slip connection the entire assembly is too big to fit through the hole that fits the switches threaded bolt. Also, uninsulated posts make shorting a real possibility due to the fit of the terminals.Works, but not that easy to work with.

Got these to control some led lighting on my boat. Only needed one right now. Spent the better part of the day running wires to the new lights and switches. Light is not too bright, which is perfect. Solid "flip" feel when throwing the switch, it just feels like a quality piece. I'm not sure about the 30 amp rating, but it has held 24 amps well so far (didn't want to use a relay on my 288 watt light bar).
