I measured my old ones to 1/2 inch so I ordered the correct length here. The switch plate screw heads are one of those things that I stopped noticing around my house after a while, but when I looked closer I realized that a lot of them were chipped off and looked shabby, and none of them looked that good like these. Swapping them out helped make a newly painted and renovated space feel truly fresh, clean, and new. Worth the cost and effort. Of course, it's a lot cheaper than moving into a new house, which, let's face it, our loved ones will want sooner if we don't keep up on things like this as our homes get a little older. Be sure to cover the tip of the screwdriver with tape to avoid chipping the new screws. And be careful with the box. Shaking can cause the screws to scratch each other and chip off some of the paint on the box.
