Don't worry, even if it looks like it's not a paid review. I paid the full $60 to own this thing. It hasn't even been a day since I own it and I already feel compelled to write a review. Once the warmer weather set in, my gaming laptop began to experience serious temperature throttling issues while gaming. This resulted in severe frame drops every second, making it almost impossible to play unless I turn the graphics quality down to save resources. The laptop works great in the cold winter months, but things are very different in the summer. I bought one of those cheaper HAVIT coolers years ago. It didn't really stop the throttling and after a while it just broke and stopped working when plugged in. I decided enough was enough and I had to do something. I gave this product, which only had one review at the time, a leap of faith and just bought it for the full $60. Two days later I received the box. It was left under my porch in the pouring rain, but that wasn't a problem. It was packaged decently and the product packaging itself immediately gave the impression of quality and told me yes, that's the real deal. After I unpacked everything, I saw this. Some people might think it's cool, but I think it looks cool and even beautiful. Remember that your laptop is on it most of the time anyway. Figuring out how the thing worked wasn't too hard: you put on a couple of du-dahs to release the heat without re-absorbing it, put the laptop on the rubber thing, and adjusted those du-hooks to hold the laptop in place, then plug usb into the port and into the computer, turn on the power switch and voila, everything works! Running your laptop at maximum fan speed combined with the cooler's maximum fan speed is a noisy setup, but it's bearable with headphones on when gaming. I immediately put the thing to the test by trying to play one of the worst thermal throttling games I've had on Ultra and I noticed a difference right away. Big. The game ran smoothly with no throttling or frame drops, ANYTHING. Yes that's right. And I played 4 or 5 hours straight. Oh, did I mention beautiful RGB lighting? They're stunning without being overly flashy, and you can change the colors to whatever you want by simply pressing the "LED" button next to the power button, or leave the color change at the default setting. In short, this product works and works great, at least for me, and looks well built and durable. Nothing about this product feels cheap or feels like it will break. Since it's only been a day, I'll of course update this review if anything changes. I have a good feeling I won't need it. Honestly, I didn't expect this thing to work so well. But then again, for $60 it's better to be good! And that. Thank you for a great first impression and a great Klim product! If in doubt, stop doubting and get this item now. TLDR: Have a gaming laptop. The main thermal throttling issues. Terrible frame drops during gameplay. I bought this cooler for 60€. it looks cool Throttling and frame dropouts are a thing of the past. Plus nice lighting. What else do you need? Just get this thing now.
