GREAT BUDGET BIKE PARTS! I'm currently building a budget hardtail for light trail riding and adventure. The factory cable brakes will slow me down, but they won't stop me one iota. I was thinking of more expensive brands etc but finally settled on this one. After laying the pads (very easy, check out some YouTube videos if you're not sure) they were ready for a couple of easy rides before hitting the road. They are very responsive, they really "bite", you can feel them being actuated as soon as you touch the lever. This brake kit really seems like a great budget piece. I've been riding a few small sections downhill over the past few days and they didn't seem to have any issues with hard braking. They were incredibly easy to install, came with mounting hardware and new gaskets, and were ready to go. All in all, if you're looking for a great set of brakes at a great price, look no further. PS Measure the routing path on your bike's frame, the length is perfect for my bike, every frame is different and so is the routing path.
