Review on πŸ’₯ ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4AM4/USB3.2/HDMI/RJ45 Motherboard: Superior Performance and Connectivity by Julian Perkins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Solid inexpensive motherboard

Works as expected. Good layout with well thought out connector layout. Two minor flaws: The rear I/O panel is a bit flimsy and a bit too small. Since this isn't "extreme" or an ASRock named line of motherboards, it's not surprising. The worst thing that can be said about it is "it's very generic, but it works". The spacing between the front button terminal block and LEDs is a little tight, so they reduce the screen printing. Not a problem if you have the manual handy, but it may cause a delay if you're troubleshooting later (i.e. you have to go to the manual). Be sure to install the CPU before inserting the motherboard into the case - if you are using an AMD cooler, you will find that the mounting plate will fall out of place when installing the fan into the case. So first CPU per MB, then MB+CPU comes into play. Any other fan solution I've seen, the order in which you do it doesn't matter.

Pros
  • Supports AMD AM4 Socket Ryzen 2000 and 3000 series processors
Cons
  • Some issues
