Review on ⚡ Xantrex PROwatt SW 600W 12V True-Sine Inverter - Model 806-1206 by Shane Jenkins

Nice tech in the inverter

I've had this 600 watt unit since 2010 and it still works great with a 12vdc powered 620ah solar charger/battery system. During the day, of course, I work simultaneously with the sound system, DVD, TV digital clock, security cameras, fans, PC, PS2 while the sun recharges the batteries. Also I use an AC drill, Dremel, soldering iron from time to time. At night I reduce the load to around 100-140 watts so as not to put too much strain on the batteries, since I don't have a wind turbine yet. But if you're thinking about this setup, you can't go wrong with the Xantrex PROWatt as the sine wave, for example, is good for all loads (resistive inductive). the inverter to see if the BAT low voltage buzzer activated, then turned off the inverter at 10.5 VDC to protect the battery from over-discharging. The overload also worked well, as did the over-temperature protection and GFCI as advertised. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that the fan overclocks at 13.5-13.8 VDC at less than 200W, the battery cable terminal stud on the inverter is only 1/4" and in my opinion at least 3 should be ./8" since the power cords I use are 6-AWG 6 feet long and have a 1/2" hole on the copper grommet so I had to use a 1/4" stud to attach use a washer. and lock washer. So in my opinion a good unit based on the dates and years of service, now I'm looking for a 2-5kW and 1200Ah model with a higher battery. nk. good luck!
