The care label just says wash with the same colors, make sure the velcro is closed and dry quickly. These board shorts have an elastic waistband at the back and a smooth waistband at the front. I have a functional fly with Velcro and two lace-up flaps over the fly to keep it closed. I like that the lacing is sewn in one place so you can't get lost. The laces have metal eyelets for durability. There is a mesh insert with elastic on the legs. There is a back pocket with velcro closure and a drain hole with eyelet. The shorts are 18 inches from waist to hem so they fully cover the hips. I like fabric. It's a marble print in tones of grey, lime green and teal, with a black belt and back pocket.
