Cobra SC 201 Unboxing and Response to First Use

Finding the right dashcam in today's range can be a daunting task, so I'll tell you about my experience and why we chose the SC 201 from Cobra. I also added some unboxing pics because it's important to me. Shape/size, video quality, forward and cockpit-facing positions, and brand awareness were key factors in our decision. Now there are all kinds of shapes and sizes. A small, slim profile that doesn't block the view was the first step. Then we wanted HD/crisp 1080P video quality because what's the point if you can't clearly see if and when we ever want to share for fun or if we really have to. We have young children, and if so, you know that the best thing that ever came out of their mouths was in a car. Otherwise when we are all together in one place without being distracted by electronic devices and have time to talk. After all, we couldn't pronounce half of the existing brands, let alone trust those we might know but never heard of. My husband has had a Cobra CB in his trucks for many years and has their marine radios installed on our boat. Never had a problem which is why we started and ended up here because they always have been and there's no reason they won't be for a long time. Additionally, we've found that they have DVRs of any applicable type or use case that you might want. The product itself comes with everything we need, including an SD card. We're happy with the size (I'll update the mounting location in our truck later) and the mounting bracket offers flexibility and is small if you don't have a camera installed. The first few trips to the city and very pleased (or rather surprised) with the quality of the video. I already mediated an argument which I won and for the record, after watching the tape, HE had to thaw fish for dinner that night. :)
