This is my 4th pair in years these are good water shoes. Yes, you are getting used to the sock now. I prefer that it protects the toes from slipping and squeaking etc, then the thumb seems to give and tear inside, then the finger starts to stick out and protrudes at times, so maybe I'll hit 2 1/2 in season 3, I have to order a few more. and the price keeps going up, I've bought others but one of the things that keeps me coming back to them is the thickness of the sole and the way they curl up a little on the sides, I walk on a lot of stones. (gravel slabs/river) and that's the only other issue I have other than my toe, the drainage holes at the bottom are a bit too big for me, every now and then I hit a sharp rock in just the "right spot" . " and it sticks to me, although I can say again that the ground is thick enough where the point of the stone pierces me but doesn't go through. Another thing associated with stones is that they can get stuck at the bottom, and often you can't even feel them because of the thickness of the bottom, but sometimes you can and should take them out (take a pocket knife with you - easy) They need to change the material they use between their fingers to be more durable be and close the bottom slightly otherwise great shoes.
