If you don't use them for 3D printed lithophane, you can ignore this review. (Litophanes are awesome things to make with a 3D printer that don't look like anything until you shine a light on them, at which point they become bright grayscale images.) While a bright and tiny LED saves energy just fine can, its point light source produces poor backlighting for lithophane. The problem is that *this* night light is linked to a popular website for creating 3D pictures. I suspect this is from the past when this night light used old incandescent bulbs. The seller has switched their product to LEDs, which isn't bad if you're using a night light as your night light, but not great if you're here to light up your 3D printed art. I will update this review if I ever find a suitable alternative. Update: Creative Hobbies Plugin Night Light is great for Lithophane! I have given details of their use for this in my list review of this product.
