Don't get me wrong I love this bed and it's is sturdy enough but if you were looking to buy this bed for a value for something along the lines of vdsm or any sexual harnesses please be advised the frame is a lot less stick and a lot shorter send what you would measure for. I thought that the height of the canopy would be at least a foot taller than what it actually is and the framework is sturdy but again if you are buying this for any BDSM pleasure chamber harnessry I would advise against it. I would say the overall sturdiness of the item is sturdy enough for regular sleeping Arrangements but nothing extracurricular LOL I'm still going to keep it and use it for what it's worth and once I wear it down I suppose I will spend $500 to get another one like this but a lot more durable for what I bought it for LOL
