I have used these mirrors on straight and curvy commuter road bikes for years. Note that I say "this" - as in many. And there's a reason for that - they break easily. After the second one broke I looked for another one but couldn't find anything I liked so I was reluctant to stay with them all these years. They have an Achilles heel, a plastic retaining ring that holds the mirror to the part that goes into the end of the pole. Every one of those I've ever had failed the same way - the locking ring broke. It also weakens from road vibrations and then requires constant fiddling. I just got a second bike and needed a new mirror so I bought and installed the same ones I always have. I put it on and then put my bike on a bike rack. The front wheel tilted to one side as usual, the mirror hit the pillar, and that was it. It all took a minute. That's enough. I checked again and found a similar mirror that is much better and cheaper to download. Repeat with an aluminum locking ring and it gets a completely different rating.
