These lights are not UL listed. This means you cannot safely plug them into an outlet in your home and use the light. When I contacted the seller about this, they suggested I "bend" the plug to make it stay in the outlet. All bulbs light up when I plug in, so technically they work. They look like the photo: small silver metal spheres that shine. However, they only work if you're willing to stick the plug in the socket. As soon as you let go, the plug falls out of the socket. I have included a photo of a plug from a string set I already have that is UL approved and a standard safe plug next to the one in that string set. (this set is the fork on the right in the photo). I sent this photo to the seller and they told me that is on the garland for cost savings. Price is clearly more important than safety. (You can't keep track of my cost as the garlands I already have cost less than this set and are safe to use.) After a few messages the seller told me they "should" give me a refund , if that's what I'm asking for and then returned the item's value but paid no tax (which is only $1.04, but the dollar amount is irrelevant here). there is no place for batteries - which frankly would solve the problem of unsafe use of the plug. In addition, the settings for the lighting (flickering, permanent light, etc.) are uncomfortable to control and use. I could have overlooked all the other issues if this garland was safe to use if the seller seemed to care about selling unsafe products and I wouldn't even write a review if I had the chance. actually received a proper full refund.
