i ordered two units. one had a bad focus limit and would not zoom properly in focus. the second one would not index in a repeatable manner for the PTZ presets. you could hear the gears slipping on the unit.

I always wanted a PTZ to cover a wide area while retaining flexibility, but was staying away due to high cost or lack of quality. When I saw a few videos on this unit I was immediately intrigued. I decided to buy it and am completely satisfied. My Blue Iris loves it. Installation was very easy since it replaced an existing cam. The infrared is just OK, but it's to be expected. Overall the camera works pretty good and the picture quality is good when using a web browser. I bought the camera to work with existing NVR that requires ONVIF protocol for each camera. Unlike the original HIKVISION model, this particular model does not allow you to enable ONVIF.

This is an OEM Hikvision camera. I was able to update firmware downloaded from the Hikvision website. The iOS app iVMS-4500 used for remote viewing is well designed and functions surprisingly well. A good buy.

First off, this does NOT have audio like other cameras that claim to have audio, they have a built in mic and can do audio over ethernet. This DOES NOT.The PTZ is smooth and fast. Picture quality is very good. If you are getting a ghost ring around the camera with IR, as you may have it under a overhang. you can take black matte tape(gaffers tape or other) and place it in front.I noticed it can be on the siding or ceiling. This Hikvision camera has been in service for a few months, picture quality is excellent, set up is easy suggest you use Hik-Connect, night vision needs a little ambien light for a good black and white picture, daytime picture is excellent, PTZ function is quick to respond. Read the instructions on how to open the camera then insert a memory card.

I bought this to replace a Hik 2.4mm turret and I am more than happy with the results. With this being said, this is definitely a value-model and will not have a lot of the bells and whistles for tracking objects/motion. If you're simply wanting to have a visible area multiplier, as I did, this well-exceeds any other device in size and features. Optical zoom/focus is my favorite feature. Night vision is decent, especially if you have other IR sources. Speed is adequate. Software is no different
