It works! in the door

Works very well. We have two Beagles, one of which has never been fully potty trained. He has more and more accidents. We never had a dog door because we have cats and we didn't want them out or wild animals in. It solves these problems. Pros: The door is translucent so dogs can see from the outside, which helps them. understand how to use it. The door won't close for them. It not only opens when they are close to it, but when they are facing it and their head is high enough to get out. Our nervous dog is still afraid of it, but our dumber dog is all about it and we've had a lot fewer accidents indoors. It took my husband an hour to install it. He had an electric saw. We also had to order an extra collar and batteries online for the second NBD dog. Overall this is exactly what we expected. Our nanny who works at PetSmart was very impressed. I really think my smart cat will figure out how to get out with the dogs but he hasn't done it yet. UPDATED 6/25/19 The door worked for about 3-4 months before it broke. When my dog approached it opened but then tried to close several times and got stuck. California customer service was excellent and responsive in helping us replace the door. So we installed a new door and now it won't connect to any of the gates. Sometimes it opens, sometimes it doesn't, and there's no solution in the user manual. I'm sort of done with all the mechanical issues. UPDATED 7/18/19 The new door now suffers from the same problem: it opens, then only half closes and gets stuck. This product is absolutely not worth the money. The manufacturer won't take it back and told us to return Revain who will only issue a partial refund as the return window is closed. I do not recommend.
