Watch out for discounts, they often drop to around $3 which is about the price they should be and the price I paid. I've only recently started using cast iron and they're pretty cute. I had to learn a hard lesson not to scratch the iron while it was hot. I used a ribbed one with grill grooves at our house that my wife ruined with spices and it was beginning to rust a bit. I greased the pan with oil, heated it, and when it got a little warmer, I started scraping the side grooves with the serrated part. It removed all the rust but left some scraper edges a little melted, not so much that it was useless but still something I wish I didn't have to do. Now I'm going to use while the pan is even hotter than warm, add some warm water in the minimum amount and rinse quickly, then oil all the cast iron and throw it back in the warm oven or last used stove to dry and harden (?) . We have an electric stove with a glass top.
