This is the second Sigma DG Super I've bought. I once broke a hot shoe on my last EF-600, which I bought almost 10 years ago, when I dropped the camera on a rock. But it's very easy for me to buy a kit from Sigma and replace it myself (only about $30). It still works great but unfortunately not on my new 6D. The new model is similar to my old one. At least for the features I used. The new one is even stronger. It comes with many features. But I have to say that many of them are not that user friendly. It takes time to choose the right features. And some features, like high-speed sync, need to be selected every time you shoot. So go for Canon if you're serious about flash photography. Bottom line, it's worth the money, good enough for basic use.
