I have had a powerful vacuum cleaner for over 15 years. The original hose lasted about 12 years. I've since bought 2 replacements and both have snapped where the flexible part of the hose connects to the solid black part (the black part that connects to the vacuum cleaner itself). They just don't make as high quality parts as they used to. I find it frustrating having to constantly pay for new baits, not to mention the environmental cost of throwing away the old ones.
