Review on Motorad T 37 Radiator Cap by Herb Guevara

My new cover fits easily. I was a bit hesitant at first because it didn't exactly match the old fancy cap (see photo). The tabs on the old cover (left) were taller and wider. I suspect the smaller protrusions are not a problem as this part is rarely removed and then reinstalled as long as the expansion tank shows the correct coolant level when the engine is hot and when it is cold. I read that other people experienced the same error as me where spring loaded components would "explode" and prevent the cooling system from building up the right pressure. Going forward, I plan to check the condition of my new cover every 12,000 miles.
