Review on Scotch Thermal Laminating Pouches TP5853 25 by Linda Diaz

Ideal for DIY luggage tags

Fits my purpose perfectly! I am making luggage tags for an upcoming trip and this price was way better than buying multiple tags for each bag! These pouches cost $6.40 for 25 pieces plus all the other materials to make the label (cards, business cards, ribbon) so a total of about $14 to make 25 labels, which is about 60 cents per label! Luggage tags were $2.99 at Target for 1, so it was a steal! You need a laminator, but it's inexpensive (I already had one) and very useful around the house. These tags are great for making luggage tags like I did, or labels to organize baskets, name tags, gift tags, etc. It was very easy and fun to create postcards for this purpose. I've found that business cards that you can print out yourself at Avery and then cut out with a piece of cardboard are perfect for making a pretty postcard. I used washi tape on the back of the box for decoration as washi tape is very thin and decorative. I ended up with a very nice card that drew attention as I wanted to see something light on the baggage carousel.

Pros
  • Do not clean bags before laminating, test a small amount in the corner before use, especially on important documents, and do not use acetone
Cons
  • Some flaws
