I have several sets of better quality plastic utensils for entertaining larger groups. I got this set for Thanksgiving as it goes with my decor, but it's not as elegant as some of the other sets I've tried. However, I keep and use it as it suits my decorating needs. I'm usually not a fan of single-use plastic, but sometimes there are needs and exceptions to my personal rules. These items can be recycled or even hand washed for reuse. They will warp if put in the dishwasher so don't try that. Also, don't put them in the microwave. They are durable and tolerate most foods, much better than traditional disposables with a more stylish twist. This set is an easy way to get color-themed dishes and serve more people than your regular dishes can probably accommodate. It'll make Thanksgiving easier with enough food for everyone, so I'm happy, just not thrilled with them.
