Too long for a 7 ft tree

I just created a return for these lights. Why were these not sold on a reel? I took them out of the package and the lights immediately tangled. It took me at least 2 hours to untangle. I would have had to purchase a reel when taking them off because the wires twist and tangle easily. Then I went to put the lights on my tree. Other reviewers said that these would work on a 7 ft tree. I disagree. I wrapped the tree twice and still had so much left. I ended up taking the lights off and returning to Best Buy. I ended up buying a 125ft 600 string of lights from Lowe's. The length and amount of lights were perfect to wrap my tree twice.
