It's great. I use this BakBall nut to relieve tension that starts somewhere along the spine. As with most PTs, it may not always be comfortable when you do it, but it will relieve you of constant pain. Works much better than massage balls or rollers as you can't press directly on the spine. I like this softer red as it doesn't cut into the muscles like the harder ones, but you can still get more impact by slightly changing your body position. I use a yoga mat for extra support and to keep the nut ball from sliding off instead of like it should and also rolling on the mat (for stuffing). It may be best to check with your physical therapist first, but if that's not possible, visit the BakBalls website and watch videos on how to use them properly.
