Careful, it's RUST. The scissors are not made of high quality stainless steel as claimed by the seller. It will rust very easily. I have contacted the company about the rust and they have all sorts of excuses as to why it is rusty. They told me to use a whetstone to get rid of the rust. They said don't wet it or it will rust. In fact, these scissors are useless. They will not vouch for their product and blame the buyer for not taking care of the scissors lest they rust. We wash all of our stainless steel utensils and knives the same way we do scissors (hand wash and dishwasher) and apart from these scissors nothing has rusted. Do not buy.
