MARVELOUS! - Hard Drive Accessories

2017 MacBook Air 13 (Core i5 128GB) I installed "ADATA SX8200 480GB NVMe SSD" with this adapter. My typing speed has more than doubled! It used to be 650Mbps with the standard 128GB drive, now I'm getting over 1.3Gbps! The reading speed is 1.5 Gbit/s. Waking up from sleep is so fast it wakes up the laptop before it even connects to my WiFi network! It's insanely fast! So YES, it WORKS with NVMe SSDs and supports waking from sleep smoothly!:::STEPS:::* Install the latest update (I had 10.14 Mojave)* Backup with TimeMachine* Remove the old SSD and install a new one with an adapter * Plug in your TimeMachine backup * Turn on your MacBook and wait a while before you can restore from TimeMachine. I can only recommend this adapter!

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Annoying
