Review on Toyo Observe G3-Ice 285/60 R18 120T winter by Micha Banasiewicz ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Feel free to buy, for such a price, the quality is simply amazing.

I've used winter tires with studs from a variety of manufacturers, including Continental, Nokia, Norman, and Bridgestone, depending on the vehicle and the year. Absolutely each and every one of them howled at speeds in excess of sixty, and they were all quite loud. This rubber is the first one that does not make any noise or scream at all, not even when driving on freshly swept asphalt in the spring. Her demeanor is very predictable, and she does not play any pranks or spring any shocks under any circumstances. Approximately twenty percent of the spikes were lost after the first year of operation, but after that point, the process of losing spikes halted entirely. In the fifth season, I finished it off with studs, and all four wheels required a total of only 42 repair studs. Already in its eighth year, this season! The tread on the tires has not worn down at all and shows no signs of peeling or minor cracks at any point. However, the spikes themselves have, of course, already been smoothed out to a satisfactory degree. I ride on them for an average of 5,000 kilometers throughout each season. In principle, you shouldn't have to worry about continuing to ride it for another year. On the other hand, I came to the conclusion that the tires deserve the highest commendation possible, therefore I bought brand new ones. Auto Outlander XL.

Pros
  • Silent at any temperature and at any pace, wear-resistant, with predictable control, not rolled, and not oaky when exposed to cold weather.
Cons
  • After losing twenty percent of the spikes in the first year, the losses stopped after that point. Rubber has no further drawbacks, despite popular belief.
