My niece loves it and that's the main thing
So I bought this as a present for my niece's 5th birthday. She opened the box and was instantly bored with it, but after her older nephew set the microphone for her, she basically just ran around the house yelling at him. She liked it, and she continues to speak for all occasions and sometimes sing. Her dad had one of those "thank you for the gift" kind of thing when his forehead vein popped out of his head. Virtually a victory on all fronts.
