We received 1 of these as a housewarming gift (can't imagine how she knew how much we needed something like this ) and quickly bought 3 more, they really hold in place and if you have a modern home they really add style and don't look like brick in front of your door. Rubber bumpers protect your door/walls from scratches. The only thing that really sets them apart is that they are wide enough that your doorknobs won't touch the walls if you place them between the door and the wall for that purpose. Surprisingly, we use them for that rather than holding doors open.
