I chose this one because it can be installed directly into the dashboard. And you can, but it also comes with a cable that you can plug into your dash and leave the device sitting in a spare cup or something. I ultimately preferred that to the device sticking out rigidly from the dashboard. In terms of performance, I have no complaints. It paired with my iPhone straight away and the sound is as good as my car radio anyway. When there are audio quality issues, it takes something far more advanced than an old car stereo to fix them. The display is decent too, although I find I don't need it at all. If it didn't have a display at all, it would still work just fine. Battery life seems good, but if it proves to be short on long journeys, there's no problem plugging it into a phone adapter to keep it powered on. with micro-USB charging cable, mini-jack to mini-jack cable and durable mini-jack to mini-jack connector. No polishing pad. lol At this price point I would definitely recommend this machine. It solves my problem ("How do I listen to podcasts in my van?”) cost-effectively.
