Review on Jura 66281 Decalcifying/Descaling Tablets - Keep Your Coffee Machine Clean with 9 Powerful Tablets by Gary Hall

Our 10 year old Capresso C1500 was making strange noises and acting like it couldn't stay fully sealed while brewing coffee. We cleaned it on schedule with regular cleaning tablets and always used distilled water. After some online research, it turned out that we need more than $400 for repairs. Instead of going down the repair route, we chose to descale/descale tablets. These did their job! After a descaling cycle with them, we noticed a noticeable improvement. About three weeks later we ran a second descaling cycle. I am pleased to report that the machine is now sounding and behaving normal. The package contained tablets for cleaning the machine three times. Each cycle uses a pack of three tablets each, and the pack contains three such packs. The only question was how much water to use to dissolve the tablets. We were able to find an instruction manual online that stated the correct amount of water to use with the C1500 is 500ml.
