These switches are working properly. I wouldn't say it's super easy to install, but it's not super hard either. About 3/4 inch needs to be cut from the hot side of the wire where it runs through the switch to break continuity to allow the switch to do its job. Cutting out this section also allows the cable to lay flat inside the switch so the two halves can be screwed together. No instructions are included, and judging by some of the other reviews that have comments about soldering and wire stripping, a lot of people just had no idea how to install it.
