Differences Between Different Extension Cords

extension cord is an extension cord, right? Yes and no. If you're just looking for the cheapest option to provide multiple outlets without considering a specific application, buy the cheapest product you can find. However, the more savvy person will understand their specific needs and will be looking for a well-designed, reliable power strip with surge protection and a high Joule rating. Other considerations might include a slim profile (as opposed to bulky), smart outlet configuration (to allow for larger power adapters with covered outlets nearby), and high-output USB outlets for fast charging. The longer cable is also a bonus. Why settle for a shorter length when you can get a longer cable at no extra cost. You can't make a shorter cable longer. But you can roll it up or hide the extra cord when you don't need it. This particular power strip has all the basic features and is certainly on the price side or cheaper than many competing models that offer less. In my opinion, this particular extension cord is a good buy for the savvy consumer.
