I decided to share my opinion on this gate as I personally rely heavily on reviews (from free reviewers!) when purchasing. We have an older dog who can no longer jump so this gate was just the right height to hold him up but short enough for us to easily negotiate the obstacle. That doesn't mean we didn't catch him once or twice and drag him off his seat. Which brings me to the next point. It's not the best quality of wood. It's actually a very light, dry, untreated wood and to be honest I didn't expect it to last a week. In addition, there are six of us at home plus many children, friends and guests. BUT, these little goals hold up! We had one of the wood frame pieces but we coated it with wood glue and it was better than new. If you're looking for a gate that will stand up to the abuse of a dog trying to get out, this probably isn't the gate for you. I think any dog with decent teeth could gobble this up in a short amount of time. If your dog mostly ignores this, this is a great goal. Very easy to install. It's also easy to remove if necessary. The little gate latch is a little wobbly but stays on which is very handy as you don't have to pick up the dog every time. Great goal for the price!
