I bought these socks as a gift for my new husband. He serves as a tribal pastor and director of a school for underprivileged children here in central India and since we got married his legs and feet often hurt. It's not that I mind giving him a massage before bed, but these socks have helped him gain more stamina to get through the day better. I first fell in love with this company's socks about two years ago when I was working in a coffee shop and the espresso machine worked very long shifts, followed by a lunch break with food to be served, then desserts and sugary drinks (also made with espresso ). . I could work long shifts and then do 30 minutes of hard work at the gym on the way home. When I moved to India and married my husband, I hoped for the best, took my trusty socks with me in case I got pregnant (to manage restless legs syndrome or possible varicose veins), and many hours of housework. I once persuaded my husband to wear my socks as his feet are almost my size. He found them very comfortable, but was too embarrassed to wear pink polka dots (even under his pants) when he was out of the house. Inspired, I ordered him three pairs of Sockwell socks from the men's collection. When all three pairs are in the hamper, he has been known to sneak into the dirty clothes and pull out the cleanest of the three pairs. I'm just so glad his legs and feet haven't been so sore lately. Thank you Sowell! I will however say to wash them in cold water in a delicate bag and I always hang mine to dry. You don't have to wash them every time you wear them, but three times is your limit. These socks really need to be cared for differently than the socks you grew up with, but once you get into it and they help you on a daily basis, it doesn't bother you anymore. The colors hold up well too.
