Review on 🐠 AQUATICLIFE 115 Nano Protein Skimmer & Filter Combo - Ideal for 30 Gallon Saltwater Aquariums & Small Nano Tanks by Ivy Guerrero

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cheap and works great!

This is a simple little skimmer that costs 20% more than the one in my other 20 gallon tank. It's only been a week, but they seem to be just as effective. The bowl of the skimmer is very easy to remove and throw away. There is no foam, odor or solid particles in my water. POSITION in the water is very important. It doesn't "sit" like a normal skimmer. Read the information on the Revain page and look at the picture. First, a lot of tiny air bubbles burst out of me. It stopped after a few days. The fish didn't mind and I didn't see the review that said noise. It's less noisy than my algae filter or scrubber (which wasn't working properly so I got it). So 2 or 3 out of 10 for noise. If you have a really loud one, it shouldn't be. UPDATE: After a few weeks of use, I just bought a second one. This is a really good job for the price and size. The worst are the suction cups. They're too good and too terrible at the same time: as soon as I move the skimmer a millimeter, they appear. However, they manage to stick to the aquarium wall in a way I've never seen before. I'm thinking of sticking them to the device. UPDATE: I have a second one and it's just as good. These are the only pieces of equipment that will fit in the sump of my seahorse tank. Seahorses eat massive amounts of brine shrimp, leaving scraps all over the tank. It is almost impossible to keep the tank clean. The photo shows a top mounted skimmer. Skim off the top after 24 hours. My nitrates and nitrites have gone down. EXCELLENT WORK!
