This is original Scotch heavy duty packing tape with a small red plastic dispenser. This roll of tape is a smaller roll and comes with a dispenser. To me, this works great in an office where you might not have a lot of room for a large roll of tape and the large metal dispenser we see at the post office or delivery stores. I don't like that you have to buy this smaller tape and dispenser together and that the smaller tapes are not meant to be bought individually as it seems wasteful to throw away the dispenser when the 800 inch roll is done. The dispenser has a metal blade that is not covered by anything. I would not let a child work with this tape dispenser as I see a child cutting themselves with this metal cutting strip. Also, the tape is marked "Heavy Duty" and it's a good packing tape that does its job well. but actually there is nothing particularly heavy on the tape. There are no additional strapping strips in the tape. It works for us, but if you have to use packing tape every day, then a larger dispenser and rolls of tape are the right choice. But for occasional diapering, that's fine.
