I've gardened for many years and was looking for just this type of seed sower. Some reviews said it didn't work with smaller seeds and I almost hesitated. It was reasonably priced, so I decided to try it. So glad I did! The dispenser has a dial with graduated holes for seeds to pass through. Smaller seeds do not dispense one at a time (I believe that was one complaint) But you can : 1) control the amount of seeds in the dispenser 2) use a toothpick to coax individual seeds to fall where you want them and 3) (the best) easily return unused seeds back into the packet. I was able to space seeds in six pack planters for indoor sowing. Yesterday I planted radishes and carrots in the outdoor garden. No, I did not plant one seed every inch.but the dispenser allowed me to scatter them more evenly than I would have been able to by hand. Haven't used the other tools in this pack, but highly recommend the dispensers.
