I'm definitely having problems with the signal strength of my Asus AC1900 router at home. I thought using it on my work laptop from an area where the signal might be lowest would help, and it helped in the sense that I improved 5GHz performance, but unfortunately the network connection unexpectedly dropped several times a day away. There was no apparent pattern or explanation for this outage - everything was fine for a couple of hours, and then suddenly I got disconnected from the network and the device was having trouble reconnecting. It was unusable and I went back to using the laptop's built-in wifi, which never had this problem and hasn't since. The software for this device also seems quite old (documentation still refers to Windows XP and the user interface is also outdated) and I'm not sure if it's really compatible with Windows 10. So overall it was a disappointment.
