I didn't know how to install it when I bought it so I guess there are others like me. It's pretty easy. There is a battery and an induction/signal cable. You simply attach the main unit with Velcro or zip ties (or a nice 3D printed mount to attach to your mini bike handlebars like I did) - then wrap the signal wire around the spark plug wire (any will do). It was set up for a single cylinder engine out of the box and worked on the gx200 I'm measuring. However, thanks to its relatively simple menu interface, it works for many configurations. It will be the main tachometer for the minibike I am building. Can't tell if it's accurate yet as I'm still building it. If after a few months I haven't come back to update this review with a negative review then that's probably ok. If you're more concerned with hours than revs, this is just another item on the menu and it seems to work automatically depending on whether a spark is detected.
