I bought this 150W UV/LED nail lamp with 57 beads for my dear wife. She experiences weak, brittle and cracked nails. It hurts a lot! For medical reasons, she is forced to protect her weakened nails with artificial nail covers. She uses natural nail colors to create the effect of real nails. It's been years since she's used fake nails and we've forgotten how difficult it was for the acrylic glue to stick to the center of the nail bed. Of course, old problems like water got under the glued nail and her nails started to turn green again in the middle of the nail bed, with the glued nail often breaking off. Why? and as a wonderful husband, I was of course available to her. I started researching to find the best solution. Making my wife happy is more than important! I did some research and found that the acrylic glue was the culprit. It doesn't matter how professional the manicure is or who is doing the work. Acrylic glue needs air to set properly, so as it dries, "microbubbles" form on the nail bed where air can't get to dry as easily. Solution? We need the best glue, the best adhesive system. Enter the gel line of products that DO NOT cure or air dry but chemically cure with UV light. Well, if we are using a "gel" nail, we have found that we MUST use CLEAR nail tips or CLEAR nail forms to shape the nails. Nails with liquid gel slip. Only these CLEAN nails or nail forms allow the UV light from the appropriate lamp to penetrate the gel adhesive and harden. Edges that will cause your nails to break, lift or turn green on your real nails. I also found out that a unique chemical is added to gel glue to allow the glue to be cured with UV light. Different companies use different activating compounds that cure at specific wavelengths: 365 nm and 405 nm (nanometers). The woman can get all the gel products she wants and the machine will cure them all. (TIP: Buy or use NO-WIPE Gel Glue and Gel Nail Polish). The number of UV LEDs and a high equivalent output power are also important. The more the better. The machine size also matters if you want to put both hands or both feet in the UV/LED nail lamp. After a learning curve I decided to write this long review to help others who are also familiar with these things. We are happy with the car. Your glued nails in recent weeks only require routine care and a lot of time! It's been a few weeks since I bought this UV LED Nail Dryer. It was inexpensive and had all the features we were looking for. We definitely recommend this. This adventure continues......
